The West Haddon Photo Club is open to anyone interested in photography. Our members have a wide range of experience from beginners to experts, and they use a vast range of equipment including mobile phones, digital SLR and mirrorless cameras.
The important thing is that we all love photography, and enjoy the company of other photographers and the opportunity in our Show and Tell meetings to talk about the pictures we take.
Show and Tell meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (except August). We each share up to three images on a theme (see our Calendar page for a list of those upcoming). Following a vote to decide which Theme image is our favourite we then each show one other image taken since the previous meeting - our Image of the Month.
We gather from 7:15pm in the Baptist Schoolroom, Guilsborough Road, West Haddon, NN6 7AD for tea, coffee and biscuits, then meeting starts at 7:30pm. If submitting images, please do this not later than the day before the meeting. Email them as attachments to email@example.com or, preferably, upload them to our Dropbox folder; if you don't have access please contact a member of the committee for details.
If you don't want to show any images, that's fine! Just come along and enjoy the show.
The club also meets monthly for knowledge nights, which we use to increase our skills, a talk, or for a photographic outing. Details of these meetings can be found on the Programme page.
If you’re interested in joining, you're welcome to come to a regular monthly Show and Tell meeting and see what we are about. We won’t charge you for your first two meetings and then we hope you might join the Club. Please see our Membership page for more details. If you prefer not to become a member you can still come to our Show and Tell meetings for just £3 each meeting to cover refreshment costs and the cost of hiring the hall. You may also come along to our talks for £5 per meeting.
